You do not need to unpack every box before the installer arrives. A few simple preparations are more helpful: confirm the products, move boxes near the final room, clear enough floor space and explain any access restrictions in advance.

Keep boxes close to the final room
Large completed furniture may not fit through a doorway or around a stair landing. Whenever possible, place unopened boxes in or near the room where the item will stay. Do not stack heavy boxes against walls or block the main work area.

Clear a safe working zone
Remove small furniture, toys, breakable decor and loose rugs. The installer needs room to lay out panels without stepping over parts. Keep children and pets away from tools and open hardware.

Send product details before the visit
A store link or photo of the label confirms the model and prevents surprises. If the item is used, include clear photos of every panel and the available hardware.

Mention parking, elevators and building rules
Condo access can add time if parking must be booked, an elevator requires a key or the building limits contractor hours. Share those details when requesting the quote so the appointment can be planned correctly.

Leave the technical setup to the installer
Unless agreed otherwise, there is no need to separate every screw or begin the first steps. Keeping packages complete makes it easier to verify parts and follow the correct sequence.
